Development Associate

Core responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain RRH's student Sponsorship Program, the cornerstone of fundraising
• Support core development operations through Salesforce database management and reporting
• Handle donor communications and stewardship, including acknowledgements and campaign communications
• Track sponsorship donations, payment updates, renewals, and manage donation information

This role sustains RRH's fundraising and donor engagement efforts, directly supporting the organization's mission to empower young women and girls in Afghanistan through community-based education and humanitarian aid.

Required qualifications:

• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through with minimal oversight
• Great written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort managing multiple timelines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
• Commitment to RRH's mission of girls' education and empowerment

Preferred qualifications:

• Salesforce experience (training provided but comfort with databases and reporting is important)
• Previous experience in development operations, donor relations, customer service, or nonprofit administration

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $60,000 per year
• BCBS MA medical and dental insurance
• Generous paid time off
• Full-time, 40 hours per week, fully remote
• Travel: 3 to 4 times per year for staff living outside of Greater Boston
