Development and Communications Coordinator (Part-Time)

• Support development and donor engagement activities for major gifts including drafting thank you notes, preparing donor packets, and updating stewardship tracking
• Elevate our brand and mission in action to external audiences by assisting with content collection, creating externally branded content across communications channels, and posting on social media platforms
• Ensure strong events records and targeted communications through maintaining up-to-date event/attendee information, tracking RSVPs and sponsorship paperwork, and managing customized event communications
• Support development and marketing priorities by collaborating with colleagues on shared initiatives and leaning into other projects as assigned

This role helps strengthen donor stewardship and bring Summer Search's mission to life through compelling storytelling, contributing to successful fundraising efforts that support young people from underserved communities in achieving economic equity and a life of purpose.

• At least 2 years of non-profit development experience inclusive of donor communications (or social media management) and fundraising event planning
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple workstreams with competing deadlines and coordinate others to stay on track
• Experience with Donor Moves Management System and social media platforms (Raiser's Edge NXT and Adobe Suite experience a plus)
• Critical consciousness with understanding of root causes of societal discrimination and injustices, and ability to apply critical thinking toward liberatory and inclusive practices

This is a part-time (50%) role with a 75 hour per week schedule. The position offers the opportunity to build skills across development, communications, and events. The organization values excellence, gratitude, well-being, diversity, authenticity, and collaboration.
