Community Outreach Coordinator

Core responsibilities:

• Plan and execute multi-stakeholder meetings per established engagement plan related to Project Pre-Planning/Procurement, Design/Relocation and Construction
• Coordinate and provide regular communication to questions and concerns raised by residents
• Schedule regular updates to stakeholders, Tenant Association, and residents
• Ensure materials are informative, easily digestible, and translated

This role creates positive change by ensuring proper notification of program status, incorporating resident input in key areas, and aiding with briefings on relocation, construction, and other aspects of NYCHA housing programs.

Required skills and experience:

• Experience planning and coordinating outreach processes and activities
• Ability to work closely with resident associations and stakeholders
• Experience with resident engagement including phone calls, distributing materials, and door-to-door canvassing
• Strong presentation skills for meetings and workshops
