Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Assist organizations in strategic communications planning and media work, including co-developing communications plans, digital media strategies, and editorial outreach
  • Develop communications tools and materials such as messaging, talking points, press lists, social media content, press releases, and opinion pieces
  • Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and help client organizations develop their own media networks
  • Work with the Research & Analysis team to leverage media analysis and message research for data-driven communications

What makes you a great fit

Required skills and qualifications:

  • 1-6 years of relevant work experience in strategic communications and/or media engagement
  • Expertise in at least one area: communications strategy, research integration, earned media support, rapid response, owned media support, or digital content creation
  • Ability to identify opportunities, creatively frame ideas, develop stories, and synthesize complex policy issues for various audiences
  • Strong writing and editing skills
