Chief of Staff (to the Program Director)

Core responsibilities:

• Support the Program Director in annual and quarterly planning processes, track progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with LEEP's mission and priorities.
• Monitor delivery, milestones, and bottlenecks across country programmes, build strong relationships with teams to surface challenges early, and coordinate escalations and rapid issue resolution.
• Independently lead high-priority strategic and operational initiatives for the Program Director, manage cross-country or cross-team projects requiring tight coordination and clarity.
• Act as a central liaison across Program teams and between Programs and other functions, facilitate smooth communication, decision-making, and alignment across teams.

This role helps LEEP achieve stronger delivery, faster execution, and greater impact across multiple countries, making a measurable difference in program performance while shaping how LEEP delivers impact globally to eliminate childhood lead poisoning.

Required skills and experience:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments (e.g., project management, consulting, program operations) with a proven track record of delivering results and supporting senior leadership.
• Strategic mindset with ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and provide thoughtful recommendations to drive program impact.
• Excellent communicator with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, able to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Cross-cultural collaboration skills, comfortable working across diverse cultures and time zones, demonstrating empathy and cultural sensitivity.
