Chapter and Walk Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Be the lead program manager for chapters and walks in your region, planning, managing and executing all aspects of walk events
• Develop and implement strategies to strengthen chapter leadership, increase participation and fundraising outcomes, and ensure consistency across Walk Strong events
• Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for each walk event, ensuring they are prepared and supported throughout the event
• Build and maintain relationships with walk participants, team captains, and top fundraisers, providing tools and support for fundraising efforts

This role creates positive change by increasing awareness of juvenile myositis, engaging and supporting families affected by JM through community-based fundraising and chapter leadership, and advancing Cure JM's mission to find a cure and better treatments for this rare childhood disease.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Exceptional program management skills in planning, organizing, and executing programs effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities to interact with various stakeholders
• Capable of inspiring and motivating volunteers with volunteer engagement experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and Google Suite for collaborative file management

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $60,000 annually
• 10 paid holidays
• 3 weeks paid vacation time
• 5 paid sick days (begin accruing immediately)
• 40 hours per week with flexible schedule
• Telecommuting position
