Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Managing and coaching CJL Members across the Central Valley region (approximately 12 members)
  • Building relationships and providing ongoing support to host sites (approximately 6 sites)
  • Coordinating and implementing member orientation, onboarding, ongoing training, and graduation
  • Gathering, managing, and reporting data related to member and partner involvement and progress

This role creates positive change by engaging formerly incarcerated young adults as AmeriCorps Members who serve as navigators for youth and young adults currently in or released from California's juvenile facilities, advancing safety, justice, and opportunity through boundary-breaking work.

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience with case management for career and/or education-based programs for participants
  • Experience working with system-impacted people and/or vulnerable populations
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team, with highly developed time management and project management skills
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and maintain active car insurance with continued access to a vehicle
