Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop micro-enterprises by identifying potential areas for program implementation, mobilizing qualified groups, and spearheading the start of approved microenterprises
  • Provide training and disbursement support by properly training new business owners, conducting grant disbursements, and evaluating micro-enterprise performance
  • Offer mentoring to business owners with at least two visits per month and prepare monthly progress reports
  • Organize and support Business Savings Groups (BSGs), train on BSG formation, and attend monthly savings group meetings

This role helps lift 52,000 individuals from poverty by training 8,100 entrepreneurs to launch 2,700 small businesses, enabling households to improve coffee quality and yields and increase and diversify incomes.

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum degree in Social work, Education, Business Management or related field
  • 1-year experience in teaching, training, mentoring and/or community work with adults
  • Ability to read, write, communicate and deliver business training in Amharic and Kaffagna (local language)
  • Capability in conducting field work and residence in the specified area or willing to reside at woreda, kebele, and village level of operation
  • Self-starter, hardworking, honest, trustworthy, open and approachable with merit and ability in work performance
