What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Define and steward the long-term vision for PPG's research function, prioritizing alignment with organizational strategy and programmatic priorities
  • Lead research portfolio planning across procurement, staffing, budgeting, and related operational domains, prioritizing questions most useful to governments and funders
  • Set methodological standards and best practices for qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research across the organization
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing research team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Seven or more years of relevant experience in applied research, evaluation, policy analysis, or related field with public-facing outputs
  • Demonstrated experience leading research portfolios or complex studies, ideally in public sector or government-adjacent contexts
  • At least two years of people management experience
  • Strong background in qualitative and/or quantitative research methods; familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, STATA, SPSS)
