Analytics Director

• Serve as a manager and coach for the Analytics Team, creating a team roadmap, ensuring projects are clearly defined and delegated, and leading code review and technical coaching.
• Translate program questions into analysis plans and lead the team to create and present actionable insights, with a focus on strong writing and presentation skills.
• Set the strategy and roadmap for dashboards and visualization projects, supporting the Data Analyst in standardizing and automating visualization work.
• Build relationships organization-wide and work closely with the Campaigns team to support state-by-state electoral planning, centering equity in data and analysis.

This role creates positive change by leveraging data and analytics to build a more representative democracy, strengthen voting rights, and win elections in key states, ultimately advancing progressive causes and racial equity.

• At least two cycles of analytics experience at a political campaign or progressive organization, with strong understanding of voter contact strategy and experience with voter files and VAN data.
• At least one prior role as a people manager, with demonstrated experience growing team skills and collective impact.
• Expert SQL skills, including experience in cloud data warehouses, writing and optimizing complex queries, and coaching staff on SQL code.
• Familiarity with Python or R for code review, demonstrated experience gleaning actionable insights from political data, and creating dashboards with visualization best practices.
