Algorithm Developer

• Take full ownership of large and complex code base that implements Via's core algorithm
• Develop and maintain multiple mission critical services
• Work in close collaboration with devops teams and algorithms developers and researchers

This role creates immediate impact to Via's thousands of daily passengers and clients around the world, like making booking applications respond significantly faster, while contributing to modern and efficient public transportation systems that provide greater access to jobs, healthcare, and education.

• M.Sc. in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Mathematics / similar field
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on industry experience in backend development (Python)
• Experience with DevOps in cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, etc.) — strong advantage
• Experience in architecture and maintaining cloud systems — strong advantage
• Have a solid background in software engineering methodologies, such as git, CI/CD
• Fast learner, team player, pragmatic, and concise
