Adult GED and Pre-GED Math/Science (STEM) Instructors (Part-time)

Core responsibilities:

• Review student/learner data to prepare lessons targeting identified instructional needs
• Instruct learners at various educational functioning levels (EFL) in Math and Science subjects
• Integrate technology and supplemental activities into classroom instruction
• Monitor learner progress using formal and informal assessments and prepare progress reports

This role helps adults (18+) develop math and science skills to pass high school equivalency exams (GED or HiSET) and prepare for standardized aptitude assessments, changing lives through literacy education.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a Math- or STEM-related field of study required
• Minimum of one year's classroom teaching experience required (may include internship, volunteer teaching, or tutoring)
• Knowledge of College and Career Readiness Standards and standards-based lesson planning
• Experience in adult education or alternative education preferred

Part-time staff may work daytime or evening schedules, either onsite or remotely. Full-time staff typically work onsite 3-4 days per week and work most Fridays remotely. No specific compensation details mentioned.
