Account Executive

Core responsibilities:

• Source new leads and connect with prospects by developing outbound strategies to create and nurture opportunities.
• Close new deals by owning an account list, carrying a quota, and developing plans for winning and expanding business with government customers.
• Articulate the value of Forerunner through demos and domain knowledge in front of high-value prospects.
• Prioritize the sales pipeline to align with business goals and develop scalable sales strategies as an early member of the sales team.

This role helps local governments manage risk, strengthen resilience, and prepare for the future by building relationships and turning prospects into users of Forerunner's software, empowering public servants on the front lines of resilience and governance.

Required skills and experience:

• 3+ years of SaaS sales experience with a creative problem-solving mindset and go-getter attitude; experience in Public Sector SaaS is highly preferred.
• 7+ years of professional experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
• Excellent, empathetic communicator who can build trust as the first point of contact for potential customers.
• Comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity, nimble in prioritizing work, and willing to take on additional responsibility.

Compensation and perks:

• OTE (On-Target Earnings) of $155,000-$200,000 based on hitting established goals, with uncapped commission and accelerators.
