1L Summer Legal Intern

Core responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and draft memos on various legal issues.
• Support the legal and policy team in managing regulatory and administrative legal matters.
• Participate in meetings and provide legal insights to different departments.
• Collaborate on special projects and present findings to senior leadership.

This role supports legal and advocacy initiatives that help transition the nation's electric grid to a cleaner and more reliable future through battery energy storage projects.

Required qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Strong research, writing and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in renewable energy and battery storage and related policies is a plus.

Compensation: $30.00 per hour (40-hour work week).
