How to Apply for Implementing partner

at Swift Sports Organisation

๐Ÿข About Swift Sports Organisation

Swift Sports Organisation (SSO) is a unique community-based organization in Uganda that leverages sports to empower single mothers, disadvantaged youth, and children. Starting with just four single mothers, it has grown to engage over 86 members through netball and football clubs, while also running sustainable projects like a piggery. Working here means directly contributing to grassroots development and seeing tangible impact.

About This Role

As an Implementing Partner, you will be the driving force behind SSO's financial sustainability by identifying and securing funding from donors and grants. Your key responsibility is to develop compelling project proposals, such as the piggery project, and establish long-term fundraising strategies. This role is critical for SSO to expand its sports activities and support its community.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

Your day might start with reviewing grant deadlines and drafting a proposal for a new donor. Midday, you could have a virtual meeting with SSO's team to align on project needs, followed by researching funding opportunities for the piggery project. Afternoons are often spent writing impact reports or strategizing long-term fundraising plans.

๐ŸŽฏ Who Swift Sports Organisation Is Looking For

  • Has professional experience in project implementation with community-based organizations, especially in East Africa.
  • Demonstrates a proven track record of securing international funding for projects supporting women, youth, and children.
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills and can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Is adept at writing clear, persuasive grant proposals and understands donor requirements.
